Loss
A project was born out of the desire to work outside my normal process and create a piece that wasn't based on my own imagery or media. The piece draws parallels between the
thylacine and its extinction to other forms of loss - that loss on personal levels as well as loss affecting larger systems, like species or cultures, ends up with the same result.
The mantlepiece conceals a video projector that sends video to a jar and wax-coated paper via an angled mirror. The rest of the jars contain other objects pertaining to loss- some personal, some universal.
