Instinct/Fate

From the first wave of work toward my thesis; the result of a conscious effort to blend the techniques I had recently experimented with.

Subject matter expands on previous material, dealing with instinct as it relates to evolution and fate. These digital collages were separated into layers, printed, and mounted on laser-cut masonite inside of deep frames, evoking the look of a flattened diorama.

The physical pieces (viewable in the blog section) began to feel tedious and forced; this realization shifted me into the next phase of the project.
